In the Arts

At Tower Grove Church, we believe the Performing Arts are meant to reflect God’s Glory. In the same way nature shows His beauty, the Arts celebrate the image of God displayed in human form and through the human condition. They becon us to draw near to God and see ourselves as He sees us: fallen and flawed, but greatly loved!

To encourage the Arts in St Louis, TGC partners with several local organizations who seek to educate and edify local performing artists. These organizations include:

imageTake Two Productions was established in February 2004 for the purpose of providing opportunities for individuals of all ages and races to explore and develop their creative talents through live, musical theater, and to make community connections through service to and financial support of lesser known, well-deserving charities.

Since its inception, Take Two Productions has given total monetary gifts in excess of $50,000 to various local charity organizations.

imageSt. Louis Shakespeare was founded in 1984 by Donna Northcott to professionally produce and perform the plays of Shakespeare and other dramatic classics for the Greater St. Louis Area. In 2015, SLS became one of only seven professional companies nation-wide to have produced Shakespeare’s entire canon. This monumental achievement garnered regional and national attention.

For Tower Grove Church, our long-term plan is to expand into on-site classes in theatre, voice, and dance for children of all ages. Also, we look forward to producing our own independent productions of faith-based theatrical events in the coming years.
