Helping with Homelessness This Winter

If you’re interested in helping during the cold winter months, here’s what you can do:

Coats – any adult winter coats in good condition may be taken to Guerrilla Street Food (on their outdoor coat rack), 3559 Arsenal St.

Blankets – warm blankets in good condition may be taken to Mokabe’s Coffeehouse, 3606 Arsenal St.

(We are not collecting items at the church, so please take yours to one of those locations)

HELPING ON THE STREETS

We encourage you to volunteer with the St Louis Homeless Winter Outreach (click link to go to their FB page).

If you’ll follow their Facebook page, you’ll receive notifications about when they go out in the evenings to take food and  blankets to people on the streets. When temperatures are especially bad, they often transport people to shelters around town.

Our Pastor Dave and his daughter Sarah Gipson have been out with this group several times and recommend their hard work. So please consider helping…thanks!

TGC Responds to Homelessness

Last Sunday, Pastor Dave preached a no-holds-barred sermon on not ignoring the needs of people at-risk all around us. And Tower Grove Church is already responding…

On Monday, we filled up the free coat racks outside of Guerrilla Street Food on Arsenal, and loaded blankets into Mokabe’s Coffee Shop.

Join us as we assist the St Louis WINTER OUTREACH as they transport people off the streets and into shelters during freezing temperatures this season.

WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD?

Awesome, so do we! Join us this Sunday and let’s get to work!
