Our Pastor

Fam fall 1

He’s a pastor and a poet. An author and an actor, a composer, a musician. He’s a bit of a comedian and unlike any preacher you’ve ever heard…

As an adoptive father of multi-racial children, he advocates passionately for foster and at-risk kids. He has also worked with jail inmates, the homeless, and those in recovery from drug addictions.

Dave loves helping people who are far from God. He meets strangers regularly at a local coffee shop to talk about God and their problems. These meetings even garnered the attention of the news media.(read article here).

Dave’s love of the Arts has made him a “performer’s pastor”, ministering specifically to creatives involved in the Arts. He has done both professional and amateur theatre with several lead roles onstage, including Jean Valjean in LES MISERABLES and Henry Higgins in MY FAIR LADY (see entertainment section cover story)

Dave’s articles have been featured on RonEdmondson.com,  NaplesNews.comHalLindsey.comMyChristianDaily.com,  TheWorshipCommunity.Com, TheologyMix.com, and on his Huffington Post blog.

Dave is also a composer and classically-trained pianist. His music for the TLC series TRADING SPACES won a 2005 BMI award.

Dave is a graduate of Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama, and has a fully-accredited Masters in Christian Studies and Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, GA.
