Tower Grove is made up of people who want to make a difference in their community, and the world! We actively participate in service projects all through St Louis, to help people in practical ways.

We enjoy a thriving special needs ministry, made up of differently-abled friends.

Our church supports congregations from different cultures, all functioning within our facility. Fellowships made up of people from Thailand, Vietnam, as well as a Swahili group all call Tower Grove Church home.

Here’s a current list of ways we’re reaching out to St Louis and the world to show the love of Christ:

Tower Grove Church Serving Refugees in StL:

Oasis International:  Oasis International welcomes newly arrived refugees by supplying the family with furnishings for their new apartment.

Immigrant & Refugee Women’s Program: IRWP aims to increase the independence and reduce isolation of immigrant and refugee women by teaching them basic English and practical life skills in the security of their own home.

Good Neighbor Initiative: Through this program families have the opportunity to reach out and love their new refugee neighbors, learn about a different culture, and help guide newly arrived refugees in settling into their new lives in the US.

International Institute of St. Louis:  The International Institute is St. Louis is a welcoming center for new Americans. Their mission is to help immigrants and their families become productive Americans and champion ethnic diversity as a cultural and economic strength.

Tower Grove Church Serving the City of StL:

Tower Grove Christian Academy: Our K-12th grade school provides a learning environment of excellence for students from all backgrounds and cultures.

Sin Fronteras:  This Hispanic preschool summer camp focuses on getting Hispanic children ready for kindergarten – emphasis on English literacy. This summer of 2017 was the first year for this new program.

Good Neighbor Intiative – Love the City: This initiative focuses on getting local churches active in north city and parts of north county St. Louis.

TGBC Church/Community Events: Every year we host a community Trunk-or-Treat and Easter Egg Hunt. Both events are geared towards engaging the community around us.

Women’s Missionary Union: Our WMU supports a number of local organizations including Oasis INTL, TGCA, Sunshine Ministry in north-downtown STL and internationally focused programs like Operation Christmas Child and foreign missionaries from IMB.

Cup of Nations – Winter Futsal League: The Cup of Nations soccer program is aimed at providing quality soccer development for youth and adults who do not have access to some of the more elite soccer clubs around the city.  This program identifies strong Christian men and women to coach youth and adult soccer and futsal teams both on and off the field (or court).  In addition to their website, more information can be found on their Facebook page here.
Tower Grove Serving the World:

Operation Christmas Child: TGBC and TGCA have both been participating in Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child for a number of years.  Both church members and school classes bring in supplies to fill shoeboxes that are then sent all over the world to children in need.

Shoeman Water Project: The Shoeman Water Project has been a classroom project for our Children’s Director Mandy Hanson for the past three years and has grown into more of an elementary school focus each spring.  This past year each classroom in K-6th Grade participated by bringing in new and gently used shoes.  These shoes are cleaned, fixed up and sold at a low cost to partners in our community who distribute the shoes to families in need.  The money raised from selling these shoes is then used to bring clean water to communities in developing nations.  Wells and other clean water projects have been completed all over the world including Afghanistan, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Haiti, and Guatemala just to name a few.

Chiang Mai Karen Boarding House: TGBC is partnering with the Thai Karen Baptist Convention and our Karen brothers and sisters to help support ministries to the Karen people across Thailand and Myanmar.  In addition to supporting seminary teachers and students, our primary focus is to help support the Chiang Mai Boarding House which at capacity can house up to 20 children from exception backgrounds, those that have been left as orphans, or those in desperate need of medical attention.  This project will continue to identify some of the neediest children from Karen communities across Thailand and Myanmar and help provide them with resources and a chance for a better future.
